Letters To The Editor:

The Apache Plume accepts Letters to the Editor  from High Desert residents and owners on current topics of community interest. Not all letters can be used and we reserve the right to edit letters for length, clarity or appropriateness prior to publication. Your letter will stand the best chance of being used if you follow these general guidelines:

• Keep it Clean – This is a family publication, so obscene or vulgar language, or hate speech of any kind is never acceptable.

• Keep it Focused – There are many forums available for people to express their views on politics, religion, or a host of other subjects affecting our society, but please confine your comments to issues that are relevant, specific and timely to the residents of our community. Additionally, we cannot accept letters involving political advocacy or the promotion of any commercial product or service.

• Keep it Nice – You can complain all you want, but please avoid personal attacks or the use of derogatory language in reference to any individual or group of people in our community.

• Keep it Simple – Space is limited, so please make your point as briefly, concisely, and logically as you can.

You may submit letters via email to Rebecca Murphy, Apache Plume editor, at eenews@comcast.net  or by regular mail to: 8809 Robin NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.

Please include your full name, street address, and mailing address or other contact information. Your name will be published with your letter, but your contact information will be used only to reach you in the event that is necessary.
